Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese’s rivalry turns bitter

Cedric Alexander battles Tony Nese in the finals of the 2019 Cruiserweight Championship Tournament to determine who will challenge WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy at WrestleMania.

When Tony Nese began training with WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy, he started competing at a higher caliber, serving as a frequent foil for former titleholder Cedric Alexander. After winning the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament and earning a title opportunity at WrestleMania, Murphy entered the ring, seemingly to celebrate with his friend, but he instead attacked and left The Premier Athlete laying in the center of the ring.

With his message delivered, Buddy Murphy will clearly do anything to retain his coveted championship. However, last week at the WWE Performance Center, an all-out brawl broke loose between Nese and Murphy.

Will Murphy and Nese confront each other with their battle on The Grandest Stage of Them All on the horizon? Don’t miss WWE 205 Live, tonight at 10/9 C, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.
