Becky Lynch became a double champion last night at WrestleMania. This morning, she got welcomed into the club by one of her home country’s greatest fighters.
Mixed martial artist Conor McGregor, who became the first fighter to hold UFC championships in two weight classes at the same time, took to Twitter to congratulate The Man on her victory over Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the historic Winner Take All Match.
McGregor also gave kudos to The Queen and The Baddest Woman on The Planet for their role in the thrilling match on The Grandest Stage of Them All, expressing his awe at their performance, before hinting that he might be considering a jump to the squared circle. Stephanie McMahon encouraged the former UFC champion to go for it:
Has Lynch’s success at The Show of Shows inspired another Irish athlete to pursue sports-entertainment immortality? Only time will tell.
