As the anticipation for the Oct. 4 Friday Night SmackDown debut continues to build, FOX Sports has announced a special slate of WWE programming for the lead-up to the marquee event.
A pair of hour-long WWE specials set the stage, beginning with “WWE SmackDown’s Greatest Hits” on Friday, Sept. 27, on FOX at 8/7 C. The show will be hosted by WWE Superstars Charlotte Flair and The Miz, who will look back at the most memorable moments from the storied history of the blue brand. On Sunday, Sept. 29, John Cena narrates “WWE WrestleMania’s Legendary Moments,” reliving the most spectacular moments from the past 35 years at The Showcase of the Immortals. Check local listings for air times surrounding Sunday’s NFL on FOX single-header action.
Then on Friday, Oct. 4, FOX Sports rolls out the “blue carpet” at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles for the long-awaited premiere of Friday Night SmackDown. The event begins with the Friday Night SmackDown Kickoff Show at 7:30/6:30 C with star-studded arrivals, backstage access to celebrities and athletes, as well as past and present Superstars kicking off the new era of WWE on FOX.
