A meeting that was meant to “clear the air” did nothing of the sort last night on Monday Night Raw.
After Raw General Manager Kurt Angle revealed at WWE Elimination Chamber that WWE COO Triple H and Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon sought to “own” Ronda Rousey following their heated altercation at WrestleMania 31, Rousey retaliated by driving The Game through a table. Stephanie, in turn, slapped Raw’s newest Superstar across the face, leaving the WWE Universe wondering about the MMA icon’s future in the squared circle.
McMahon, Triple H, Rousey and Angle assembled in the ring last night to make peace. Angle claimed he was lying on Sunday night, while Stephanie stated that she was only asserting her dominance as Rousey’s new boss. Rousey wasn’t fully satisfied, demanding that Stephanie apologize to her for that slap or else she would tear Stephanie’s arm “out of its socket.” Stephanie obliged, in her own way, but as she and Triple H exited the ring, The Game turned around and decked Angle, leaving Raw’s GM laid out on the mat.
Rousey has had an eventful first two days as a WWE Superstar, and if her tweet is any indication, swift retribution is in order.
