WWE NXT UK results: Oct. 14, 2021

Blair Davenport def. Stevie Turner

After lobbying for several weeks, Stevie Turner finally convinced Assistant to the General Manager Sid Scala to reinstate the devious Blair Davenport.

And while Turner unquestionably relished the opportunity to throttle her opponent with a Lou Thesz press, a flurry of right hands and a boot to the face after she was the victim of Davenport’s heinous assault several weeks ago, the barrage didn’t translate into a win for the upstart competitor.

Competing in front of the live NXT UK Universe for the first time, Davenport withstood Turner’s early flurry, blasted her with a savage knee to the face and landed a falcon arrow suplex for the win.

Sha Samuels def. Flash Morgan Webster

Seemingly determined to prove that he belongs in “the land of the giants,” Flash Morgan Webster once again went to battle against a significantly larger opponent in Sha Samuels.

Webster, who slapped Samuels across the face and then fled the scene during a backstage altercation last week, threw caution to the wind by twice launching himself from the squared circle to the ringside area to take out his opponent.

After Webster passed on an opportunity to win by count-out, however, Samuels made him pay by catching his airborne foe and leveling him with a ring-rattling spinebuster to earn the 1-2-3.

NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov def. A-Kid

So much for A-Kid’s theory that NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov emptied the tank in his grisly war against WALTER and wouldn’t have anything left for his first title defense.

Competing with the same frenzied desperation that the WWE Universe witnessed when he challenged and unseated The Ring General at NXT TakeOver 36, Dragunov staggered the No. 1 Contender with several targeted attacks on A-Kid’s leg and a nasty German suplex in the early goings.

After Dragunov suffered an apparent right arm injury, A-Kid focused on locking the titleholder into submission holds and attempting to get a tapout victory, but The Czar fought free by clobbering the former NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion with a series of blistering elbows to the side of the head.

As the NXT UK Universe serenaded the competitors with chants of “This is awe-some,” A-Kid came within an eyelash of winning the gold when he tattooed the champion with a wicked superkick that drew a long two-count.

With both Superstars on wobbly legs and trading wild elbows, punches and kicks in the center of the ring, A-Kid ensnared Dragunov in a triangle, only for the titleholder to powerbomb his way out of it before raining down some gruesome forearm strikes.

Moments later, Dragunov took out A-Kid’s leg and obliterated him with Torpedo Moscow to retain his title. Following the instant classic, Dragunov offered a handshake to A-Kid, who accepted it as NXT UK concluded.
