Jinny def. Piper Niven to become the No. 1 Contender to the NXT UK Women's Championship
Jinny's viciousness was on full display from the bell and she took the fight to Piper Niven immediately. Though Niven managed to turn things around, Joseph Conners — who made his way to ringside — strangely took the proverbial bullet for Jinny on a dive attempt by Niven.
Conners' involvement was far from over. Niven caught Jinny off the top rope, potentially looking to set her up for the Piper Driver, but Conners grabbed her feet, allowing The Fashionista to roll through into a pinfall and become the No. 1 Contender to Kay Lee Ray.
Dave Mastiff def. Saxon Huxley
This match came about thanks to Saxon Huxley's bullying of Jack Starz and Levi Muir after they scored a victory over him. Dave Mastiff evened the odds and sought to conclude his lesson for Huxley in one-on-one action, though the unhinged Huxley was on the offensive early, devastating Mastiff and keeping him grounded. But Mastiff battled back, blasting Huxley with a huge lariat before hitting a massive corner cannonball senton for the victory.
NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin def. Ben Carter
Facing a pressure-packed situation in his NXT UK debut, Ben Carter was every bit up to the challenge against Jordan Devlin after their confrontation on Noam Dar's "Supernova Sessions." Carter quickly demonstrated his bonafides, even frustrating the veteran Devlin early as he took him to the mat. Also showcasing dazzling athleticism, Carter had The Irish Ace clearly shaken at one point after sending him to the outside with a huge dropkick.
The champion wrestled back control with a side slam and standing moonsault, then began dictating the pace to his liking. Carter nearly scored a massive upset with a near-fall after a high-impact spinning suplex, then made one costly mistake. Devlin dodged Carter's Phoenix Splash attempt and planted his promising foe with a Spanish fly.
Devlin neutralized Carter's propensity for high-risk offensive by locking on a Cloverleaf before finally putting him away with the Devlin Side. While Carter didn't leave with the title, he certainly left with respect and made a memorable impression on the NXT UK Universe.
