NXT Heritage Cup Champion Nathan Frazer, Dragon Lee, Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz def. Meta Four – Eight Person Tag Team Match
NXT Heritage Cup Champion Nathan Frazer, Dragon Lee, Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz took out all of The Meta-Four on the Kickoff Show of NXT Great American Bash in an incredible Eight-Person Tag Team Match.
The dastardly Meta-Four pulled out all the sneaky stops trying to gain an advantage, but the high-flying quarter of Frazer, Lee, Leon and Feroz wasn’t ready to go down quietly, as they answered Meta-Four’s antics with perfect teamwork.
With Noam Dar, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson all neutralized, Oro Mensah was left all alone with Lee, and the electrifying Luchador hit a picture-perfect spinning reverse DDT to earn the victory.
Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo def. Gallus to win the NXT Tag Team Championships
The NXT Tag Team Titles now belong to Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo after the duo dethroned the brutish Gallus while Joe Coffey could only watch.
Wolfgang and Mark Coffey used their supreme strength to cut off Stacks from his partner, isolating him and battering The Underboss. Once D’Angelo became the legal man, however, the champions felt the unbridled wrath of The Don.
Joe Coffey tried to interfere in the match, but D’Angelo clocked him with his trusty crowbar. In the ensuing chaos, the duo hit Wolfgang with Bada Boom Bada Bing and captured the NXT Tag Team Titles.
Roxanne Perez def. Blair Davenport - Weapons Wild Match
During the chaos and brutality of a Weapons Wild Match, Roxanne Perez found the gear she’s been looking for as she left the Great American Bash standing tall with a win over Blair Davenport in front of her friends and family.
Davenport wasted no time, wailing on The Prodigy after disguising herself as a fan. Davenport’s intensity was matched by Perez, however, especially after Davenport mocked Perez’s little sister, who was sitting ringside.
After an attack featuring a cowbell and a top-rope splash that drove Davenport through a table at ringside, Perez hit Pop Rox onto a pile of steel chairs and earned the victory.
Gable Steveson vs. Baron Corbin ended in a double count-out
There was no winner between Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson and Baron Corbin after the two Superstars disregarded the referee’s 10-count and were both counted out.
Corbin looked to prove a point against the debuting Steveson, but the Olympian used his remarkable athleticism to stun Corbin and prove that he belongs in an NXT ring.
Steveson and Corbin attempted to tear each other to shreds at ringside, resulting in the double count-out, but they continued to brutalize one another long after the bell.
NXT North American Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio def. Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali - Triple Threat Match
The Judgment Day continue to run WWE as “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio retained the NXT North American Championship in a grueling Triple Threat Match against Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali.
Lee and Ali were on the same page early, issuing “Dirty” Dom a beating that both Superstars felt had been coming for some time, but it wasn’t long until WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley made her presence felt.
With Mysterio reeling, Lee looked poised to reclaim his title, but Ripley hit him with a Riptide and drove him through the announce table.
As the action continued, Ali and Lee battled each other to a near stalemate, but Ripley once again interfered and tossed Ali off the top rope, allowing “Dirty” Dom to hit a Frog Splash and retain his title
NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton def. Thea Hail - Submission Match
Decked out in pink Texas-themed attire, Tiffany Stratton retained her NXT Women’s Championship by forcing Andre Chase to throw in the towel during her match against Thea Hail.
Hail rose to the occasion and locked Stratton into several different submissions, including her dangerous Kimura Lock, but Stratton found a way to counter each time.
After a Prettiest Moonsault Ever to Hail’s spine, the champion locked in a Boston Crab. Despite Hail’s refusal to tap out, Chase found it necessary to throw in the towel, which allowed Stratton to remain champion.
NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes def. Ilja Dragunov
“The HIM Era” continues as Carmelo Hayes remained the NXT Champion after defeating “The Mad Dragon” Ilja Dragunov in the main event of the Great American Bash.
Dragunov was more than ready for the matchup as he battered and bruised the champion, using his cement block-like hands to deliver vicious chops and hellacious strikes thanks to some amazing elbows.
Hayes countered a Coast-to-Coast, and Dragunov countered Nothing But Net, but neither competitor could find the winning maneuver.
After more carnage, Hayes finally broke through as he hit his Nothing But Net leg drop and retained NXT’s top prize.
