Karmen Petrovic & Arianna Grace def. Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx – Countdown Show

Karmen Petrovic teams up with fellow Canadian Arianna Grace to take on the wicked duo of Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx. Catch WWE action on Peacock, WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Hometown heroes Karmen Petrovic and Arianna Grace took down the wicked duo of Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx in front of their native Toronto to kick off NXT Heatwave.

The Scotiabank Arena crowd gave Petrovic and Grace some adrenaline and an initial flurry, but Jayne and Nyx quickly took control and jeered at their opponents while doing it.

Petrovic finally managed to tag in Grace and the second-generation Superstar cleaned house, taking out both foes with her innovative offense.

When the dust settled, Petrovic and Nyx were the legal competitors but Nyx’s roll up was foiled by Grace when NXT’s Beauty Queen pulled her hair, allowing Petrovic to reverse it and score the win.

NXT North American Champion Oba Femi def. Wes Lee

Oba Femi defends the NXT North American Title against former champion Wes Lee. Catch WWE action on Peacock, WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Wes Lee is officially out of options as the NXT North American Championship remains with the towering Oba Femi.

The monstrous Femi brutalized Lee in the early parts of the match, not only tossing him around the ring but also the outlying area by throwing him into the exposed underside of the ring.

The resilient Lee refused to give in, but he couldn’t find any sustained offense on the champion early on.

That all changed when the challenger rallied and systematically took out Femi by the legs, punctuating it with a Superman Punch and a Tornado DDT.

Lee’s attempt at a meteora was countered, but he managed to counter Fall From Grace, flip his hips and nearly pin the champion off of a roll up.

Both Superstars found themselves perched on the top rope, but Lee countered an Avalanche Powerbomb, however his ensuing Cardiac Kick was not enough to win the match.

With one final gasp, Lee went for another Cardiac Kick but it was countered by the champion into a devastating Fall From Grace, allowing Femi to retain his title.

NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan def. Sol Ruca

Kelani Jordan defends the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Sol Ruca. Catch WWE action on Peacock, WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Kelani Jordan successfully retained the NXT Women’s North American Title in thrilling fashion as she knocked off her friend, Sol Ruca, in a friendly yet hotly contested matchup.

The athleticism of the two Superstars was on full display as Jordan and Ruca showcased their remarkable skills and traded dazzling moves before having a moment of admiration for one another.

Jordan found herself caught in a Surfboard submission attempt, but got out of it and later hit a Poisonrana and a marvelous moonsault, only for Ruca to hit one of her own just minutes later.

The champion attempted a 450 Splash, but Ruca put up her knees, then couldn’t hit what more than likely would’ve been a match-ending Sol Snatcher.

Ruca scaled the ropes with Jordan on her shoulders, but the champion countered into an Avalanche Poisonrana before hitting a Split-Legged Moonsault to remain the NXT Women’s North American Champion.

NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom & Nathan Frazer def. Chase U

NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer defend their title against Andre Chase and Duke Hudson of Chase U. Catch WWE action on Peacock, WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Nathan Frazer may be running himself too thin, but he and Axiom are still the NXT Tag Team Champions after defeating Andre Chase and Duke Hudson of Chase U.

The speed of Frazer and Axiom was on full display as they ran circles around their opponents, using quick kicks and tags to keep Chase off balance.

After enduring a barrage of strikes, Chase finally tagged in Hudson and the powerhouse dominated Frazer and Axiom, hitting several huge slams on his smaller opponents.

Frazer managed to send Hudson into the turnbuckle, allowing him and Axiom to hit tandem dives to the outside to ignite the crowd and turn the bout back in their favor.

Hudson paid homage to Toronto’s own Trish Stratus by hitting Stratusfaction, leading to a frenetic pace as the champion hit a Spanish Fly/Phoenix Splash combo, but Chase broke up the pin by hitting a Canadian Destroyer.

Frazer accidentally nailed Axiom with a superkick and it nearly cost them the title, but the champion rallied to use perfect tandem offense before Axiom finished off Chase with a Golden Ratio.

NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez def. Lola Vice

Roxanne Perez puts the NXT Women’s Title on the line against the red-hot Lola Vice. Catch WWE action on Peacock, WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Lola Vice brought the Latina heat to Toronto, but in the end, Roxanne Perez proved why she’s the best in all of NXT, retaining the NXT Women’s Title.

The Prodigy seemed angrier than usual, unleashing a barrage of punches and hammerfists on her opponent, but that gameplan played into the former MMA fighter Vice’s hands.

Just one body blow from Vice dropped the champion to a knee and a leg scissors started to squeeze the life out of the champion.

Vice went for a spinning backfist but Perez ducked and the challenger clubbed the ring post instead, severely injuring her hand and wrist.

Despite a compromised arm, Vice continued to fight but her triangle choke and strikes weren’t as impactful as usual.

Perez hit a Pop Rox but Vice managed to kick out, so the champion sent a message by hitting one on the announce table, then three more inside the ring to retain her title.

Ethan Page def. Trick Williams, Shawn Spears and Je’Von Evans to win the NXT Championship

NXT Champion Trick Williams defends his title against Je’Von Evans, Shawn Spears and Ethan Page in a Fatal 4-Way Match. Catch WWE action on Peacock, WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Canada’s own Ethan Page stunned the NXT Universe by capturing the NXT Championship in the main event of NXT Heatwave.

The battle lines were drawn early as the champion Trick Williams paired with Je’Von Evans to take out Shawn Spears and Page, a move that proved to be a great strategy.

Williams and Evans put their teamwork aside and their sign of mutual respect quickly turned into a slugfest between the Superstars.

All four Superstars found themselves in the ring looking to gain an advantage, but only Spears found it by introducing a steel chair into the fray, hitting a C4 on Williams on it.

Williams recovered and stripped the announce table intending to use it, but Evans nailed him with a Swanton Bomb through the barricade as Spears quickly hit an Avalanche C4 on Evans.

The Young OG nearly had the match won several times, thanks to a scintillating Top Rope Spanish Fly and a pair of Flying Cutters, and a twisting splash, but the champion broke up the subsequent pins each time.

Williams tossed Evans through the announce table and Spears countered Trick Shot to lock in a Sharpshooter, but Page interjected and hit an Ego’s Edge.

Chaos soon followed as Williams inadvertently hit Evans with a Trick Shot knee and Page with a jumping knee strike. Page fell into the cover as Spears held back the champion, allowing a woozy Page to earn the win to become the new champion.
