One of the most popular Superstars on NXT Level Up might just be the most successful in the brand’s brief history, as Ikemen Jiro continues to pile up wins at an impressive rate.
Myles Borne, who is still searching for his first victory, believes he was cheated out of it in his last match when Javier Bernal grabbed the middle rope during a pinning predicament and kept Borne’s shoulders to the mat. His frustrations began to boil over tonight when Jiro went to his mind games and frustrated his opponent by patting him on the head during an early rope break.
With the NXT Universe chanting “pineapple” in reference to the illustrations on Jiro’s jacket, the flashy competitor shook off a wicked overhead suplex, landed five Jacket Punches and connected with the Ikemen Slash for his fourth straight one-on-one win on NXT Level Up.
Elektra Lopez def. Sol Ruca
While the battle between Legado del Fantasma and The D’Angelo Family continues to rage, Elektra Lopez nevertheless focused on the task at hand when she collided with enthusiastic newcomer Sol Ruca.
The powerful La Madrina showed her impressive strength by ruthlessly slamming her opponent back-first into the canvas.
Ruca, a social media influencer with more than half a million followers, fought back with a shoulder block and a dropkick, but Lopez countered a standing moonsault by lifting her knees and earned the victory with a modified powerbomb.
Andre Chase & Bodhi Hayward def. Bronco Nima & Lucien Price
Chase University continue to school everyone who stands in their way on NXT Level Up.
Perhaps dealing with jetlag after spending some time competing in NXT UK, Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward were opposed by the gargantuan duo of Bronco Lima and Lucien Price, two former Division I football players who immediately formed a bond at the WWE Performance Center.
Though competing in their first match, Nima and Price scoffed at Chase’s “teachable moments” and overwhelmed “The Dean of Chase U” with fisticuffs and some ring-rattling slams.
Chase University nevertheless persevered and earned the victory when Chase and Hayward linked up to drop Nima with the Fratliner.
