NXT Level Up results: May 10, 2024

Wendy Choo def. Wren Sinclair

In one of NXT Level Up’s top feel-good moments, Wendy Choo received a deafening ovation from the moment her alarm clock sounded at the start of her entrance.

With the NXT Arena chanting her name to welcome her back from her year-long absence, the previously injured Sleepy Superstar sported a bulky knee brace but picked up where she left off, playfully falling into a sleeping position and waving at Wren Sinclair, who waved back.

Sinclair scored a long two-count by sending her opponent face-first into the canvas, but Choo rallied to hit the Snooze Button and earn the victory before helping Sinclair to her feet and high-fiving her.

Josh Briggs def. Cutler James

In a clash of two towering powerhouses, Josh Briggs and the debuting Cutler James didn’t exactly throw each other a lot of curveballs.

Instead, both went with haymakers and several ring-shaking power moves, including an early sidewalk slam by Briggs and several reverse elbows and snake eyes from James, who seemingly impressed his more experienced opponent with his resilience.

After crowing at James that “this isn’t a reality show,” Briggs soon sealed the win with a vicious clothesline.

Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Luca Crusifino def. Dante Chen & Dion Lennox

Though Dante Chen routinely calls himself The Gatekeeper of NXT and likes to test newcomers in singles bouts, tonight he opted instead to team with rookie Dion Lennox for the second time.

Chen and Lennox showed impressive chemistry, particularly when Lennox threw Stacks right into Chen’s tilt-a-whirl slam.

The D’Angelo Family soon took control when Crusifino received a tag, hit the ring like a ball of fire and overwhelmed both opponents. Moments later, The Family secured the three-count when Luca elevated Chen into Stacks’ Sleep With the Fishes.
