On the June 2 edition of SmackDown, The LWO's Zelina Vega overcame Lacey Evans in a hard-fought matchup to lay claim to the first spot in the high-stakes match. Becky Lynch was the next to punch her ticket with a win over Sonya Deville on the following Raw, and Zoey Stark joined her with an impressive victory over Natalya.
On the June 9 episode of SmackDown, Damage CTRL's Bayley and IYO SKY joined the fray after overcoming Michin and Shotzi, respectively.
After Zoey Stark interfered with Raquel Rodriguez match against WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus on the June 19 edition of Raw, Becky Lynch emerged to take out Stark at ringside. When Trish Stratus got involved in the scuffle, though, The Man attacked her as well and inadvertently gave her adversary the win by disqualification. With the victory, Trish Stratus qualified for Money in the Bank Ladder Match..
