LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas is the type of city where your luck can change in an instant.
That was made clear at WWE Money in the Bank 2016 where the WWE World Heavyweight Championship switched hands twice in a matter of minutes. Seth Rollins was the first Superstar to claim WWE’s top prize as he defeated Roman Reigns in their scheduled WWE World Heavyweight Title Match with a pair of Pedigrees.
Rollins didn’t have long to celebrate, however. Seconds after the three-count, Dean Ambrose, who claimed the Money in the Bank briefcase and its all-important championship match contract earlier in the night, emerged from under the ring, smashed Rollins with the briefcase, and successfully cashed in on his former Shield cohort with Dirty Deeds, becoming the new new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
