For weeks, Sheamus and Cesaro attempted to pummel one another into absolute oblivion. Now, they will attempt to put their differences aside and challenge long-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day at WWE Hell in a Cell.
Following Cesaro and Sheamus’ Best of Seven Series that saw neither Superstar clinch the elusive and series-deciding fourth win, Raw General Manager Mick Foley decided to flip the script. Because no victor was decided, but a championship opportunity had been promised to the series’ winner, Foley announced that Cesaro and Sheamus would get a title match — together, as a unit — against the Raw Tag Team Champions.
Their opponents, The New Day, know all about championship opportunities, having seized theirs over a year ago. Some 400 days later, the rotating trio of Big E, Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods has put down some of the toughest challengers to step their way, including The Dudley Boyz, The Vaudevillains and, most recently, the formidable duo of Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows.
Will The New Day’s incredible success continue against the double-tough team of Cesaro & Sheamus? Or will the challengers’ inability to get along be their undoing? Find out at the next Raw-exclusive pay-per-view, WWE Hell in a Cell, live Sunday, Oct.30, exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network.
