Kota Ibushi, one of the biggest prospects in Japanese wrestling, is ready to make his mark on the world in the Cruiserweight Classic.
Nicknamed “The Golden Star,” Ibushi has dazzled crowds in his home country with an unbelievable array of high-flying moves and hard-hitting strikes. He moves around the ring with grace, likely to take flight and launch his body at his opponent or connect with a devastating kick.
Ibushi’s daredevil style has paid off well for him during his career. He captured New Japan Pro Wrestling’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship on three occasions, and even showed he could hang with the heavyweights overseas, competing against the likes of AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. That experience will help him as he looks to win the first WWE Cruiserweight Classic.
