Titus O’Neil to take more than 2,000 kids to see Marvel’s “Black Panther”

As part of the #BlackPantherChallenge, a social media initiative aimed at bringing children of color to the theater to see Marvel’s “Black Panther,” Titus O’Neil is taking more than 2,000 kids to watch the iconic King of Wakanda in action on the big screen for free.

“I never saw a superhero that looked like me on television growing up,” O’Neil told WFLA News Channel 8 in Tampa. “So for Marvel to do this for the first time it’s ever been done, where it’s actually an all-minority cast, it’s a historic event.”

Just yesterday, O’Neil added 750 kids to his total, and this was before he was honored by the Tampa chapter of the NAACP for his tireless work in the community.

Marvel’s “Black Panther” hits theaters next Friday.
