Xavier Woods advances in ESPN’s #Esports64 bracket

Just days after sending Kofi Kingston to WrestleMania by winning several consecutive matches in one night, Xavier Woods is running a gauntlet of a different kind.

The five-time Tag Team Champion earned a surprise victory in ESPN’s #Esports64 bracket, in which fans vote for their favorite Esports pro, personality or streamer. Woods, an 11-seed for his work on UpUpDownDown, upset Super Smash Bros. Melee pro Hungrybox (6-seed) in the round of 64, giving him legs in the ultra-competitive field.

Can Woods go the distance and topple reigning champion Ninja? That’s up to you. Fan voting takes place on ESPN’s Esports Twitter, and voting for the next round of Woods’ division starts March 31, with results to be determined April 1. Set your reminder, and cast your votes here.
