Grayson Waller def. Odyssey Jones
Grayson Waller got a big surprise in the form of Odyssey Jones. After laughing at the fact that Dexter Lumis could not compete following Waller’s attack, Jones appeared to take The Tortured Artist’s place.
Waller did his best to withstand the much larger Jones, but could not match his power getting tossed around the ring. After pulling off the protective covering, Waller capitalized on the exposed turnbuckle by dodging a corner splash to send Jones flying face first into the metal corner. Waller jumped into action with his rolling stunner to knock out Jones for the three-count.
WALTER returned to set up Six-Man Tag Team Match for New Year’s Evil
MSK returned to NXT 2.0 after their long and harrowing journey of self-discovery and, with Shaman Riddle supporting them, called out Imperium to regain the NXT Tag Team Titles. After Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner scoffed at the challenge, the Ring General himself, WALTER, made his presence known to join in on the belittlement.
Harland def. Andre Chase
Joe Gacy and Harland never got their response from Brian Kendrick, instead they were greeted by Andre Chase looking to have a teachable moment. What Chase received was a monstrous chokeslam and a match with Harland.
Still reeling from the chokeslam, Chase could not get his feet underneath him and was decimated by Harland. The referee finally put an end to the destruction and called for the match to be stopped following Harland's repeated slams into the mat. But Harland was not satisfied heading back to the ring to grab Chase University student Bohdi Hayward, who rolled in to save Chase, slinging Hayward over his shoulder and carrying him backstage.
Tiffany Stratton def. Fallon Henley
Tiffany Stratton made a strong debut on NXT 2.0, defeating fellow newcomer Fallon Henley in quick fashion.
"The Buff Barbie Doll" made daddy proud by overpowering Henley with a body slam before putting her gymnastics skills on display with a unique splash in the corner to set up a facebuster for the 1-2-3.
The Creed Brothers demolished Trick Williams following contract signing
North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong made their Championship Unification Match official for New Year’s Evil. The two champions signed on the dotted line while exchanging a few choice words and just when it looked like the proceedings would end without incident, Malcolm Bivens sicced The Creed Brothers on Trick Williams.
Solo Sikoa def. Santos Escobar
Solo Sikoa was in the wrong place at the wrong time as Santos Escobar turned his frustrations toward Elektra Lopez and Xyon Quinn onto "The Street Champion of the Islands" resulting in their showdown.
The two Superstars collided in a show-stealing bout that saw Sikoa overpower Escobar early on until the numbers game caught up with him. With Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde providing the distraction, Escobar was able to hit a flying knee outside the ring to stun Sikoa.
Escobar methodically picked apart Sikoa until he spotted Quinn at ringside talking with Lopez. Escobar dove out of the ring to lay out Quinn, but he took his eyes off Sikoa who capitalized with a massive superkick once Escobar slid back in the ring followed by a splash off the top rope to earn the victory.
Von Wagner def. Malik Blade
Still enraged after losing to Edris Enofé a week ago, Von Wagner unleashed his fury on Malik Blade.
Wagner steamrolled through Blade right at the opening bell and despite Blade's best efforts to slow down the giant, Wagner tossed Blade around the ring with ease. After planting Blade with his twisting double underhook powerbomb for the win, Wagner went back to continue the punishment, but Blade was pulled out of the ring by his friend Enofé.
Raquel Gonzalez & Cora Jade def. Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray
Raquel Gonzalez and Cora Jade already earned a match against NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose for New Year's Evil, but they proved their dominance once again by defeating Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray.
The four women put on a thrilling, high-flying show for the NXT Universe, putting their bodies on the line for a championship opportunity. After being isolated and targeted by Shirai and Ray, Jade finally managed to gain some space to tag in Gonzalez who bulldozed her way through Ray.
Big Mami Cool planted Ray with a Chingona Bomb, but her momentum sent her falling back into her own corner where Jade tagged herself in to the confusion of Gonzalez. The tag team partners bickered over the tag until Gonzalez saw Shirai climbing to the top rope, plucking her out of the sky mid-splash and tossing her out of the ring. As Jade went for the cover on Ray, Gonzalez knocked her down leading to another argument that knocked Gonzalez out of the ring as Ray went for a surprise rollup. Gonzalez was quick to respond, sliding back into the ring and pushing Ray backward and reversing the rollup to put Jade on top for the pinfall.
