Nikkita Lyons def. Kiana James
Kiana James showed no fear stepping to Nikkita Lyons, but her aggressiveness cost her as Lyons ran her over with a shoulder tackle. James recovered from the tackle and began to target Lyons' knee, smashing it against the ring apron and steel steps.
James continued to pick apart a wounded Lyons, but the rising Superstar roared back with a German Suplex and a corner splash. James tried to pull one over on Lyons with a rope-assisted pin, but she was caught by the referee and while she argued Lyons tagged her with a spinning back heel kick for the 1-2-3. While Lyons celebrated the victory, James quickly retaliated by bashing Lyons across the back with her computer bag.
Wes Lee def. Trick Williams in a Rounds Match
For the first time in NXT 2.0, Wes Lee and Trick Williams squared off in a Rounds Match. Sporting boxing gloves, the two Superstars traded jabs in the first of six scheduled rounds as Lee and Williams looked for a knockout blow until the bell signaled the end of the opening round. Lee flew out of his corner to flatten Williams as both Superstars threw away their gloves for the second round. After taking out Williams with a dive to the outside, Carmelo Hayes held on to Lee as he tried to slide back into the ring, turning around into a big boot from Williams to pick up the first fall of the match.
Lee looked to bounce back in the third round, but was still feeling the effects of Williams' big boot. Lee stayed alive throughout the third round to turn things around in the fourth round with a quick roll up for the pinfall. Irate, Williams dropped Lee with a massive shot to the back of the head leaving Lee flat on the mat in between rounds.
Williams jumped on Lee to open the fifth round, looking to secure a quick victory on the dazed Lee, but somehow Lee kept fighting and dodged another big boot to hit Williams with a flying kick of his own. Finding a second wind, Lee threw everything he had left at Williams, hitting a massive running bulldog before putting on his boxing glove for a knockout haymaker to score the final fall of the match.
Giovanni Vinci challenged Carmelo Hayes to North American Title Match at NXT Heatwave
Arianna Grace def. Thea Hail
Thea Hail was thrilled for her first match representing Chase U when she locked up with Arianna Grace. Sporting a black eye courtesy of Hail, Grace took out her frustrations by raining down blows on the up-and-comer.
Hail powered back with a pair of corner splashes and a swinging neckbreaker followed swiftly by a standing moonsault for a two-count. Grace complained about her black eye, but while Hail pleaded her case to the referee Grace leveled Hail with a big boot before hoisting her up for a unique powerslam to record the win.
Apollo Crews def. Roderick Strong
Looking to keep Apollo Crews out of Diamond Mine's business, Roderick Strong marched to the ring on his own for a heated one-on-one showdown. The two grapplers jockeyed for position in the early moments until Strong nearly broke Crews in half with a backbreaker before catching him in mid-air with a dropkick.
Crews swung the momentum back to his corner with a backbody drop and a flurry of clotheslines. The former Intercontinental Champion scored a spectacular nearfall with a huge blockbuster, followed up with a trio of German Suplexes.
The two battered Superstars continued to trade blows as Strong caught Crews with a knee before dumping him onto the ring apron with a side slam. The self-appointed leader of Diamond Mine locked in the "Strong Hold" but Crews reversed the hold for a powerslam. Strong answered with a backbreaker, but as he went for a pop-up knee Crews caught him for a gutbuster before flattening Strong with a one-handed slam to earn a hard-fought victory.
Santos Escobar and Tony D’Angelo came to terms on a street fight at final accord
Pretty Deadly def. Malik Blade & Edris Enofé
Pretty Deadly's trash talking started early against Malik Blade & Edris Enofé, but Blade was quick to shut Elton Prince up. Pretty Deadly found the upper hand and isolated Blade in the corner before securing a nearfall after an assisted gutbuster.
Pretty Deadly openly mocked the NXT UK Tag Team Champions as they hit Blade with Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen's patented tandem right hands through the ropes. Not happy with Pretty Deadly's impression, Briggs, Jensen and Fallon Henley marched out to ringside. Their presence was enough to give Enofe the edge with a huge top-rope elbow. Prince looked to even the odds with a steel chair, but Briggs hopped up on the apron and snatched it out of his hands. Briggs' interference backfired, though, as Kit Wilson sent Enofé flying into the chair Briggs was holding. Pretty Deadly capitalized on the miscue with Spilt Milk for the pinfall victory.
As Henley checked on Briggs & Jensen she was met with a big boot by Lash Legend who joined Pretty Deadly on the entrance ramp to mock the country trio.
Zoey Stark def. Cora Jade
Still upset at Zoey Stark stealing her spotlight, Cora Jade shoved Stark shortly after the bell rang, but Stark caught her hand and pulled Jade in for a shoulder tackle. After a quick flurry, Jade leaned into the ropes to back off Stark, catching her by surprise with an elbow.
Jade continued to batter Stark until she caught Jade with a spinning springboard splash, but Jade was quick to rally grabbing Stark by the hair and delivering a huge knee to the head. Jade kept Stark on her heels with a flying elbow, but as she went for another pop-up knee Stark caught her and slammed her to the mat. Jade grabbed her kendo stick, but swung and missed as Stark countered with a German Suplex. Stark fired up for a flurry of clotheslines before taking out Jade's legs with a baseball slide. After another massive suplex, Stark tagged Jade with a superkick for a nearfall.
The two Superstars traded nearfalls as Jade connected with Sliced Bread. Not sure what it would take to put Stark away, Jade went to get her kendo stick once again but found Roxanne Perez waiting with the weapon in hand. The momentary distraction allowed Stark to deliver another superkick and a devastating knee to record the pinfall.
Seconds after the referee counted to three, Perez jumped into the ring with the kendo stick, narrowly missing Jade as the two ran off. Mandy Rose tried to take advantage of the confusion, but Stark saw her coming and dropped Rose with a superkick and another spinning knee, standing tall over her NXT Heatwave opponent as the show went off the air.
