Johnny Gargano says goodbye to the NXT Universe

The NXT Universe is still reeling from Johnny Gargano’s forced and untimely departure from WWE NXT last week following his defeat at the hands of NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas, and even though Johnny Wrestling will fulfill his remaining NXT Live Event obligations, his chapter in the black-and-yellow brand’s history has drawn to a close.
After spending the past few days collecting his thoughts, the newly former NXT Superstar took to social media to say goodbye.

“With every match at Full Sail … to every TakeOver, you grew louder and louder,” Gargano wrote. “You never gave up on me. That’s something I’ll never forget.”
He continued, “I wanted to help create something special for you … something you could all be proud of. I hope I did that. Whatever my future holds … I will always love you, and I will always love NXT.”
