Mansoor def. Jake Atlas

Another Friday night, another Mansoor victory on 205 Live.

Mansoor’s undefeated run on the purple brand is made all the more impressive by his ability to win matches in different ways, having outlasted Raul Mendoza in a slugfest last week and narrowly edged Jake Atlas in a mat-wrestling clinic this week.

Mansoor vs. Jake Atlas: 205 Live, Jan. 1, 2021

Mansoor looks to remain undefeated on the purple brand when he collides with the resurgent Jake Atlas for the first time ever. Catch WWE action on WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Atlas was hobbled when he landed awkwardly on his leg early in the match, and Mansoor took immediate advantage by diving at the back of his knee with a savage chop block.

Atlas, who has picked up recent victories over Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Tony Nese while splitting his time between 205 Live and NXT, nearly dealt Mansoor his first loss when he blasted him with a unique neckbreaker, but Mansoor kicked out in the nick of time.

Mansoor stuck to a submission-based attack for most of the bout, and though he couldn’t get Atlas to tap to his barrage of painful maneuvers, he nevertheless turned a leg hold into a unique pinning combination in the blink of an eye, stunning Atlas by claiming the 1-2-3.

Atlas accepted Mansoor’s handshake after the bell, but he appeared to throw away Mansoor’s hand, and the two Superstars continued to lock eyes as Atlas exited up the ramp.

Curt Stallion & Ever-Rise def. Ariya Daivari & The Bollywood Boyz

If there was any lingering tension between Curt Stallion and the duo of Chase Parker and Matt Martel, they certainly didn’t show it during their victory in a thrilling Six-Man Tag Team Match.

As for their opponents, Ariya Daivari seemed somewhat annoyed to be teaming with The Bollywood Boyz, as he immediately began barking orders at Samir and Sunil, insisted that he start the match and told them that he wasn’t going to tag them into the bout.

Curt Stallion & Ever-Rise vs. Ariya Daivari & The Bollywood Boyz: 205 Live, Jan. 1, 2021

Curt Stallion and Ever-Rise form a potentially tenuous alliance to battle common enemies, the dangerous trio of Ariya Daivari & The Bollywood Boyz. Catch WWE action on WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Martel absorbed tremendous punishment but gutted it out long enough to make a diving tag to Stallion, who hit the ring like he was fired from a cannon, clobbering everything that moved and dropping Samir with a basement dropkick and ring-rattling DDT in rapid succession.

Stallion and Parker each used Martel as a springboard to fly through the air and drop elbows into the chest of Samir, and Stallion launched himself over the top rope to take out all three of his opponents.

Moments later, Ever-Rise leveled Samir with a double flapjack, and Stallion obliterated him with a running headbutt, teeing up Parker to score the 1-2-3.
