With WrestleMania 33 streaming live on WWE Network, Sunday, April 2 at 7 p.m., WWE.com called in some big names to make bold predictions on several of The Ultimate Thrill Ride’s top matches, presented by Snickers.
Actress/hostess Maria Menounos, comedian Gabriel Iglesias and radio/TV host Peter Rosenberg were our obvious go-tos for celebrity sports-entertainment expertise. All three have WWE bona fides with Iglesias goofing on The Miz on a recent episode of SmackDown LIVE, Rosenberg contributing frequently to WWE Network’s Bring it to the Table and Menounos competing in — and winning! — a match at WrestleMania XXVIII.
So, who do they think has the edge heading into The Show of Shows? Let's find out!
Universal Champion Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar
MARIA MENOUNOS: I love the run Goldberg is on, but how many times can the world's greatest fighter be stopped? Brock is a monster and wrecking machine. I can't see Goldberg foiling him a third time.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
GABRIEL IGLESIAS: Brock will win and end Goldberg's career. Brock has taken too much to lose again at WrestleMania.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
PETER ROSENBERG: Brock, Brock, Brock. I am not saying Goldberg can't win. Obviously, he has shown quite the opposite. That said, yet another Goldberg win would be downright shocking.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
WWE Champion Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton
MENOUNOS: I love both these guys. Randy is still the man and my friend. It would be nice to see him carrying the title again. He will one day, but not this day. I think Bray walks out with the WWE Championship.
Winner: WWE Champion Bray Wyatt
IGLESIAS: Bray Wyatt is at the top of his game and will be victorious.
Winner: WWE Champion Bray Wyatt
ROSENBERG: This is an odd match, as we have not gotten to see these guys against each other much. I think Bray retains.
Winner: WWE Champion Bray Wyatt
The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
MENOUNOS: Every year, we count Undertaker out. Roman is a stud and will push The Deadman to the limits, but I think The Deadman comes out on top.
Winner: The Undertaker
IGLESIAS: Roman will shock everyone and end the career of The Phenom. It's time. Long live Undertaker!
Winner: Roman Reigns
ROSENBERG: Hard for me to picture either one of these guys losing, so I will go with what I want to see happen. In an incredibly close back-and-forth match, The Undertaker scores the pin over Roman.
Winner: The Undertaker
Raw Women's Champion Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match
MENOUNOS: This is the toughest one to pick of all. The passion and talents of these women have revolutionized WWE. Nia Jax has power we haven't seen since my girl Beth Phoenix. I can only guess...
Winner: Charlotte Flair
IGLESIAS: Charlotte is The Queen!!
Winner: Charlotte Flair
ROSENBERG: The Queen will rise again!
Winner: Charlotte Flair
Shane McMahon vs. AJ Styles
MENOUNOS: [This match was not officially made when Maria sent in her predictions, but since she was wearing a Shane McMahon shirt in the front row of WrestleMania last year, we might have an idea who she is leaning towards...]
IGLESIAS: Shane is not Phenomenal! There is only one. AJ Styles all the way.
Winner: AJ Styles
ROSENBERG: The only way Shane wins is if he does something miraculous... I think he will do something miraculous. Shane wins!
Winner: Shane McMahon
John Cena & Nikki Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse
MENOUNOS: John Cena & Nikki Bella may be the better wrestlers, but you can never count out The Miz & Maryse. If forced to make a pick, I'll go with experience over cunning.
Winners: John Cena & Nikki Bella
IGLESIAS: The Miz & Maryse will surprise everyone because The Miz is awesome!
Winners: The Miz & Maryse
ROSENBERG: Does Maryse still wrestle? I'm not sure. I know who does wrestle — Nikki Bella. John and Nikki will score the win.
Winners: John Cena & Nikki Bella
