Bragging rights will be on the line when Raw and SmackDown LIVE’s Women’s divisions go head-to-head in a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Women’s Elimination Match at the 30th annual Survivor Series.
A hallmark of WWE’s fall classic, the Traditional Elimination Match can only end when all members of one team are eliminated. Elimination can occur by pinfall, submission, disqualification or count-out, and Superstars must leave the ringside area after they have been eliminated.
Team Raw is captained by Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and also features Flair’s bitter rival, Sasha Banks, plus Bayley, Nia Jax and Alicia Fox. Unity may be impossible to achieve, but at least Charlotte had a plan in case The Boss was unable to make it to Survivor Series following her brutal Hell in a Cell Match: The self-proclaimed “Queen” went so far as to recruit her protégé Dana Brooke as a team alternate.
SmackDown LIVE, meanwhile, is represented by team captain Nikki Bella, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Naomi and Carmella. Team Blue management also agreed to let Natalya coach the squad, but it remains to be seen whether The Queen of Harts will help SmackDown LIVE’s chances of keeping the peace amid such combustible elements.
What type of dream matchups await at Survivor Series? Will the WWE Universe witness a showdown between the champions, Flair and Lynch? Might Nikki Bella, the longest reigning Divas Champion in WWE history, step toe-to-toe with the destructive Nia Jax? What happens if onetime best friends Bayley and Carmella come to blows?
Most important of all: Which Women’s division will prevail?
Don’t miss Survivor Series 2016, live Sunday, Nov. 20, on the award-winning WWE Network, at a special start time of 7 ET/4 PT.
