SummerSlam 1999

Minneapolis’ Target Center was the site of SummerSlam 1999. The historic night was capped off with Mankind’s WWE Title victory over “Stone Cold” and Triple H in a match officiated by none other than then-Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura. The Unholy Alliance of Big Show & The Undertaker won the World Tag Team Titles, and Jeff Jarrett took home the Intercontinental and European Titles. Arguably the lasting memory of the evening belonged to the fiercely contested Greenwich Street Fight between Shane McMahon and Test, in what was Shane-O Mac’s attempt to prevent Test from courting his sister, Stephanie.
