SmackDown Five-Point Preview: Nov. 15, 2013
Will Bryan & Punk “survive” until Survivor Series?
Nine days before their Survivor Series showdown against The Wyatt Family's Erick Rowan & Luke Harper, Daniel Bryan & CM Punk will team up for the first time ever on SmackDown to take on Curtis Axel & Ryback, tonight at 8/7 CT on Syfy!
Watch the Raw confrontation between Bryan, Punk, The Shield and The Wyatts
With the mysterious and brutal Wyatts seemingly never far away, will The Beard and The Best be able to focus on the always-dangerous combination of the Intercontinental Champion and The Human Wrecking Ball? Moreover, even if Bray Wyatt and his followers don’t directly impact the match, the ongoing disdain that Axel and Ryback have for The Straight Edge Superstar will only serve to intensify what is already a daunting challenge, even for two former World Champions like Bryan and Punk.
Should Cena put himself in “arm’s” way?
World Heavyweight Champion John Cena has been challenged to an Arm Wrestling Contest on tonight’s SmackDown by his vicious No. 1 contender, Alberto Del Rio. The questions is: Will The Champ answer the call to “arms,” particularly after the Mexican Superstar attacked him on Raw and locked the Cenation leader’s injured arm in the devastating Cross Armbreaker through a steel chair?
Check out photos of Del Rio's brutal attack
The challenger’s talents – and mean streak – are unquestioned, and WWE could very well have a new World Heavyweight Champion after Survivor Series on Nov. 24. With that in mind, we feel it would not be wise for Cena to risk further injury by stepping up to Del Rio’s challenge on SmackDown – no matter how gutsy he may be.
Can anyone stop The Wyatt Family’s reign of terror?
Just like the Superstars they will face at Survivor Series – Daniel Bryan & CM Punk – The Wyatt Family’s Erick Rowan & Luke Harper are in tag team action on tonight’s SmackDown, taking on one of the most exciting and entertaining duos on the WWE roster: The Usos.
Trace the conflict between Punk & Bryan and The Wyatts
The WWE fan favorites have been riding a wave of momentum and even picked up a victory over Rowan & Harper three weeks ago on SmackDown. Will Jimmy & Jey score another massive victory tonight? Or, will The Wyatts make an example of the battling Samoans and show their Survivor Series opponents what might await them on Nov. 24?
Will Natalya get payback – and another title opportunity?
Natalya appeared mere seconds away from defeating Divas Champion AJ Lee and claiming the butterfly-emblazoned title for her second reign on Wednesday’s WWE Main Event.
Check out Natalya's photo shoot with WWE Magazine
That was, until AJ’s right-hand woman, Tamina Snuka, interfered in the match, nailing the third-generation Diva with a crushing kick to the skull to hand her the disqualification victory, but not the priceless Divas Title.
After coming so disappointingly close, Natalya gets a chance at payback tonight when she goes one-on-one with Tamina on SmackDown. Will “The Queen of Harts” get her retribution and immediately interject herself back in the title picture? Or, will she be forcefully reacquainted with the sole of Tamina’s boot?
With The Authority still on vacation, who will exert their “authority”?
With Triple H and Stephanie McMahon away on vacation for Monday’s Raw, Raw General Manager Brad Maddox, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero and newly minted WWE Director of Operations Kane bickered and disagreed throughout much of the show.
Get caught up on what went down on Raw
Since WWE’s power couple will also be absent for tonight’s SmackDown, will one of the other three authority figures seize the reins? The Queen Diva is SmackDown’s GM and seems like the logical choice, as the absence of The Authority offers a juicy opportunity to exert control over the best show on Friday night.
