After the WWE Champion took issue with "TODAY" calling him "the guy from Atlanta," the NBC morning show responded in kind.

Does WWE Champion AJ Styles have a beef with Al Roker?

It sure seemed that way Tuesday night when The Phenomenal One ranted about how the hosts of NBC's "TODAY" referred to Styles only as "that guy from Atlanta" when John Cena was a guest on NBC's "TODAY" earlier in the week. The episode happened in advance of Styles’ WWE Title defense this Sunday against Cena at Royal Rumble 2017.

Though the NBC morning show, fronted by Roker and Tamron Hall, had a chance to make amends when they followed up on their claims on Wednesday, they didn't seem too concerned with mending fences. Instead, Roker and Hall, joined by guest co-host Darius Rucker, rehashed both their comments and Styles' displeasure with them on SmackDown LIVE, and added a few more laughs for good measure.
