What’s the State of the Union between Orton and The Authority?

SmackDown Five-Point Preview: Dec. 13, 2013

After accidently colliding with Stephanie McMahon amidst the chaos that unfolded during the Championship Ascension Ceremony Monday on Raw, WWE Champion Randy Orton has requested an opportunity to apologize publicly to The Authority tonight on SmackDown … and perhaps with good reason.

Triple H speaks on potential public apology | Watch Orton crash into Stephanie on Raw

Just days away from the biggest match in WWE history, the WWE Champion seems to be more out of step with his corporate backers than ever. This raises the question — Is The Viper truly repentant, or has the prospect of a TLC Match against John Cena without the support of The Authority simply proven to be more than Orton is ready to handle?

On that note, World Heavyweight Champion John Cena has also requested to address the WWE Universe tonight. With the prestige of the historic Championship Match hanging in the balance, it will be interesting to see if Cena and Orton come to blows once again.

Will Bryan and a bitter Wyatt wait for WWE TLC?

Daniel Bryan accepted more than his share of honors at the Slammys on Monday, but there’s one that he refused – the honor of joining The Wyatt Family. Bray Wyatt, who has offered Bryan this opportunity twice now, can’t be too thrilled with The Beard’s resistance to the idea, and it’s safe to say that whatever frustration the creepy Superstar has experienced in recent weeks will find a release when the sides meet in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match this Sunday at WWE TLC.

But tonight, just 48 hours before Sunday’s pay-per-view, Bryan meets Erick Rowan in singles action. Given the intensity of this feud, will tensions boil over between all three Wyatts and the former World Champion? Or will both sides be able to contain the full extent of their wrath just a little bit longer? Find out at 8/7 CT, only on Syfy!

How will Punk strike back?

CM Punk vs. Dean Ambrose: Raw, Dec. 9, 2013

CM Punk and Dean Ambrose face off in the ring while the members of The Shield watch from ringside.

If history, common sense and Monday’s Raw are any indication – and there are any number of reasons to think that they are – then CM Punk could very well face his destruction when he takes on The Shield in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match this Sunday at WWE TLC. But The Second City Saint has made clear that he plans on taking as many of The Hounds of Justice with him as he can.

On Monday Night, though he was able to defeat United States Champion Dean Ambrose, it was The Shield who ultimately stood tall after Roman Reigns delivered a brutal spear to The Best in the World. What will Punk’s response be tonight on SmackDown?

What does AJ Lee have in mind?

AJ Lee claims to be the best: WWE.com Exclusive, Dec. 9 ,2013

Divas Champion AJ Lee is focused on defending her title against Natalya.

WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee has a lot to be angry about these days. After The Bella Twins collectively took home “Diva of the Year” honors at the Slammy Awards this past Monday night, WWE’s Black Widow will team up with Tamina Snuka to take on the golden pair. This happens just days before she will look to defend her title against Natalya at WWE TLC – the latest chapter in the long saga between the unpredictable titleholder and the cast of “Total Divas.”

So, after being openly snubbed by the WWE Universe just days before her clash with The Queen of Harts, how will the notoriously unstable Divas Champion react on SmackDown?

Big destruction or The World’s Largest wrecking party?

Big Show vs. Ryback: Raw, Nov. 18, 2013

Big Show goes one-on-one with "The Big Guy" on Raw.

Big Show and Ryback have faced off in both tag team and singles action in recent weeks. When they last battled one-on-one, Ryback delivered an astounding Shell Shocked to The World’s Largest Athlete. The WWE Universe is no stranger to the strength of The Human Wrecking Ball and it’s safe to say that, what with Shell Shocked being one of the strongest moves in Ryback’s arsenal, it may not be long before we see Big Show again curled up on Ryback’s shoulders.

Just days before WWE TLC, could this meeting of giants have pay-per-view implications? Tune in to Syfy at 8/7 CT to find out.
