Can Orton and Sheamus survive super-sized odds?

Sheamus & Randy Orton vs. Big Show - 2-on-1 Handicap Match: Raw, April 15, 2013

Sheamus & Randy Orton join forces against Big Show in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match on Raw.

There’s no telling what will happen when four of SmackDown’s fiercest former World Champions battle in an extremely personal tag team showdown tonight. The only certainty is it will be damaging to all parties involved.

Although the combined force of Sheamus & Randy Orton managed to overcome the irate Big Show in a  Two-on-One Handicap Match Monday, can they honestly expect to best the angry giant when he stands side-by side with The World Strongest Man?

Mark Henry has now attacked Sheamus on both  SmackDown and Raw. And considering the fact that The Hall of Pain is filled with the victims of Henry’s fury, The Celtic Warrior and The Viper will surely have their hands full when he teams with the awesome power of the KO Punch.

Which No. 1 contender will stand tall?

Jack Swagger attacks Alberto Del Rio before he can challenge Dolph Ziggler for his World Title: Raw, April 15, 2013

Jack Swagger makes sure that his presence is felt when Alberto Del Rio confronts the new World Champion Dolph Ziggler.

After the ruthless assault by Jack Swagger denied Alberto Del Rio his World Heavyweight Championship rematch against Dolph Ziggler on Raw, the  “Real American” went on to overcome The Showoff in a non-title match — only to suffer a vicious post-match Cross Armbreaker of retribution from a returning Del Rio. As a result of these events, the three Superstars will battle in a Triple Threat Match for the World Title at Extreme Rules.

Now, with their pay-per-view showdown set, Del Rio will get another crack at Swagger tonight on SmackDown. Can either No. 1 contender possibly be 100 percent following the brutal back-and-forth on Monday? What role will Ricardo Rodriguez and Zeb Colter play to the Friday night showdown? And is it possible that one of the determined Superstars will ultimately take out the other before Extreme Rules?

How will the growing ‘Fandangoing’ craze affect tonight’s SmackDown?

A look at Fandango's worldwide appeal: Raw, April 15, 2013

A special look at the appeal of Fandango's entrance theme.

As “Fandangoing” continues to take the globe by storm, the man behind the melody is set to return to SmackDown tonight. But to what end?

Just 12 days after his historic upset of Chris Jericho at WrestleMania, perhaps he’s plotting his next move in his ongoing conflict with Y2J. After all, it was just one week ago when Fandango disrupted the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion’s match against World Heavyweight Title holder Dolph Ziggler, before unleashing  a post-match finale on his fallen foe.

Then again, it is possible Fandango is sauntering his way back into the bright, blue lights to dance on the head of a whole new adversary.

How will The Shield gear up for The Undertaker?

Ryback stands by as The Shield attacks John Cena: Raw, April 15, 2013

Ryback shows WWE Champion John Cena a lot by standing by and doing nothing.

Say what you will about The Shield, but the black-clad trio has been nothing short of unstoppable since they debuted in WWE late last year. The combination of Dean Ambrose’s cunning, Seth Rollins’ devil-may-care in-ring approach and Roman Reigns’ devastating power has propelled the “Hounds of Justice” to new heights on a seemingly weekly basis — including their most recent attack on WWE Champion John Cena.

But now, the group readies to face off against perhaps their greatest challenge to date as The Undertaker, Kane & Daniel Bryan lie in wait Monday night on Raw. In the meantime, will The Shield continue their mind games, or will they actually target another Superstar — or group of Superstars — tonight on SmackDown?

Is the friction between Booker T and Teddy Long heating up?

Teddy Long replaces Alberto Del Rio with Jack Swagger in a match against Dolph Ziggler: Raw, April 15, 2013

Teddy Long makes an executive decision without discussing it with SmackDown General Manager Booker T.

Over the course of the past few months, the WWE Universe may have noticed that SmackDown General Manager — and WWE Hall of Famer — Booker T hasn’t exactly seen eye-to-eye with his Senior Advisor Theodore Long.

It’s worth mentioning that there has been turbulence within Booker’s administration before — anyone remember Eve’s backstage mind games?

But considering the close, personal relationship between Booker and Teddy over the years, could this just be a minor speed bump? Or in light of how their most recent lack of communication on Monday’s Raw muddied the World Heavyweight Title picture, will it all finally come to a head tonight on SmackDown?
