Honor and glory

FORT HOOD, Texas  -- More than 50,000 members of the WWE Universe made their way to Fort Hood, Texas to help World Wrestling Entertainment honor the proud men and women of the United States Armed Forces during the eighth annual Tribute to the Troops celebration.

Featuring fan favorites like John Cena, Big Show and Rey Mysterio, performances by R&B sensation Diddy-Dirty Money, country star Trace Adkins and the hilarious Cedric the Entertainer as well as special appearances from The View's Sherri Shepherd, Miss USA Rima Fakih, President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush, this star-studded holiday extravaganza was the only show big enough for America's largest military base. (WATCH BUSH'S ADDRESS)

John Cena, Rey Mysterio & Randy Orton def. WWE Champion The Miz, Alberto Del Rio & Wade Barrett (WATCH | PHOTOS)
John Cena has always had a special bond with the troops, so the Legendary star was even more charged than usual going into tonight's huge main event. Forming a veritable dream team with Rey Mysterio & Randy Orton, Cena made sure that the crew of The Miz, Alberto Del Rio & Wade Barrett received a beating that would make the military proud. Working together like a tactical squad, The Viper and Cena set up Del Rio and Barrett for a double dose of Mysterio's 619 before simultaneously nailing an RKO and an Attitude Adjustment on their hapless opponents for the win.

Following the victory, the Massachusetts native grabbed the microphone and delivered some heartfelt words to the soldiers he respects so much, bringing an emotional end to the most patriotic show of the year.

Maj. Gen. William Grimsley def. Kane in an arm wrestling contest (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The demonic Kane has the ability to strike fear in the hearts of most people, but The Big Red Monster is not about to intimidate the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. Responding to an open challenge by Fort Hood's Maj. Gen. William Grimsley, the "Devil's Favorite Demon" crept to the ring for an arm wrestling contest. Unsurprisingly, the major general was a formidable opponent, and nearly bested Kane before World Heavyweight Champion Edge stormed the ring and Speared the twisted monster right back to the hellhole he crawled out of.

Natalya, Kelly Kelly & The Bella Twins def. Michelle McCool, Layla, Alicia Fox & Melina (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Christmas came early to the troops at Fort Hood this year as eight of WWE's sexiest, smartest & most powerful Divas battled in a special Santa's Helpers Tag Team Match. Dressed in their holiday best, Divas Champion Natalya, Kelly Kelly & The Bellas looked very nice while decking the halls of the naughty group of Team Lay-Cool, Alicia Fox & Melina. And after some very festive, frenzied action, it was the abominable Michelle who had her two front teeth knocked out by Kelly, leading to the pin. By the smile on her face, it was clear that Kelly got what she wanted for Christmas.

R-Truth def. Ted DiBiase (WATCH | PHOTOS)
If WWE ever put on a performance of A Christmas Carol, Ted DiBiase would be the perfect choice to play Ebenezer Scrooge. Even with all the money in the world and the drop dead gorgeous Maryse on his arm, the third-generation Superstar still manages to wear a frown on his face everywhere he goes. The "Fortunate Son" was given good reason to cry "Bah humbug!" after his match with R-Truth tonight, though. Unable to get the upper hand despite repeated outside interference from Maryse, the grappling Grinch was eventually blasted with a scissor kick from the rapping Superstar that knocked him into Christmas past. Hopefully, he finds a better attitude while he's back there.

Big Show & Kofi Kingston def. Jack Swagger & Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler
(WATCH | PHOTOS)
Big Show's recent visit with members of the U.S. Armed Forces in Afghanistan must have inspired the giant, because The World's Largest Athlete came to Fort Hood ready to fight. Teaming up with the exciting Kofi Kingston to take on the brash pairing of Jack Swagger & Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, the 7-footer ran roughshod over the competition. With Kingston's speed keeping their opponents off balance, Big Show found the opportunity to deliver a massive chokeslam to Swagger for the 1-2-3.

Mark Henry won a 15-Man Battle Royal (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Stomping into Fort Hood with all the might of an M1A1 Abrams battle tank, the massive Mark Henry clearly presented the biggest challenge in this over-the-top-rope extravaganza. So how exactly do you overpower The World's Strongest Man? Simple answer? You don't. Five members of The Nexus learned this lesson the hard way as they all were launched to the outside by the Raw powerhouse after invading the Battle Royal. But after humbling those feral dogs, Henry still had to contend with a determined Sheamus. No slouch in the power department himself, the 2010 King of the Ring nearly ousted the Texas native, but the big man stood strong and hoisted The Celtic Warrior above his head and tossed him out of the ring for a very impressive victory.
