The Glamazon gets a Candice clean sweep
OMAHA, Neb. -- Beth Phoenix not only displayed her strength and power on Raw, but showed off her endurance as well.
The Glamazon continued her Women's Championship reign on Raw, retaining the title in a 2- out-of-3 Falls Title Match against Candice Michelle, but not before a very scary moment for the former Women's Champion.
The Women's Championship had never been decided in 2-out-of-3 Falls Match before on Raw, and the Glamazon aimed to make this historic battle a short one. Candice had lost the first fall and was mounting a comeback when she attempted to fly from the top turnbuckle.
Phoenix slammed into the ropes, sending Candice crashing head-first to the canvas. The Glamazon quickly covered her unconscious opponent for the pinfall and the victory.
As Phoenix left the ring with her title held high, medics and WWE officials rushed to the ring to aid Candice. The former Women's Champion was able to sit up and take a drink of water, but was taken from the ring on a stretcher as a precautionary measure.
More details on Candice's condition will be made available as WWE.com receives details from Qwest Center. Read the Latest Update...
