BOSTON -- After getting punted in the skull by Randy Orton, John Cena's father was taken to a local medical facility, where he is being kept for observation and will undergo a CAT scan.

The WWE Champion accompanied his father to the hospital and has not left his side. Officials say Cena's father was knocked unconscious during the attack, and suffered a cut above his left eye from the blow of Orton's boot. He has since regained consciousness. (WATCH: Orton's attack)
