Jim Ross to return to the announce booth on Raw

As first reported by WWE’s Breaking News SMS alert service, WWE Hall of Fame commentator Jim Ross will rejoin the Raw announce team in Bridgeport, Conn., tonight while his longtime friend and broadcast partner, Jerry “The King” Lawler, continues to recuperate from a heart attack suffered one week earlier.

For tonight’s broadcast, Ross will be part of a three-man booth, teaming with Raw commentator Michael Cole and former WWE Champion John “Bradshaw” Layfield. JBL — a former SmackDown commentator in his own right — returned to the announce desk at Night of Champions Sunday night to lend a hand while “The King” is on the mend.
