Isla Dawn def. Fallon Henley
With each passing match and backstage interaction with her fellow Superstars, Isla Dawn continues to enhance her reputation as one of the most dangerous and bizarre competitors in WWE, as she did against upstart Fallon Henley.
Henley, who entered the competition having won her last three matches on three different brands against Emilia McKenzie (NXT UK), Tiffany Stratton (NXT 2.0) and Brooklyn Barlow (NXT Level Up), lived up to her no-nonsense reputation by shaking off Dawn’s cackles and cracking her with a few early-match forearm strikes.
The merciless Dawn rallied by yanking Henley’s hair and slamming her face-first into the canvas. After a brief rally by Henley, who floored her foe with a clothesline, Dawn chucked Henley throat-first into the bottom rope and planted her into the mat for the three-count.
Dave Mastiff def. Josh Morrell
After taking his lumps for quite some time on NXT UK and enduring multiple losses, Josh Morrell has been at the top of his game in recent weeks, pushing Kenny Williams in a competitive bout and scoring a huge win against Primate.
Morrell still showed at least some trepidation during a backstage interaction with Dave Matiff last week, however, and his hulking opponent landed the first big blow, a ring-shaking back suplex, which was soon followed by an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.
Morrell showed impressive grit by kicking out of a pair of powerful slams, much to the shock of Mastiff. Mastiff nevertheless ended the match seconds later by landing another slam and a senton, but he couldn’t help but be impressed by Morrell following the match, as he helped Morrell to his feet and fist bumped him.
Emilia McKenzie def. Nina Samuels
Following a string of narrow defeats for Emilia McKenzie, NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura doled out some tough love to her protégé and plainly stated that she expects more from the young Superstar.
McKenzie clearly got the message.
Competing with ferocity that the WWE Universe hasn’t seen from her, McKenzie immediately blitzed Nina Samuels with a hurricanrana before driving her shoulder into Samuels’ midsection several times.
McKenzie maintained that pace for most of the bout, and though Samuels caught her opponent in a crafty rollup – the same way that McKenzie recently lost to Fallon Henley – McKenzie kicked out at two and scored the win with a vicious suplex, snapping her two-match losing streak.
Trent Seven def. Sam Gradwell; Tyler Bate returned and tried to attack Seven
You know you’ve crossed a serious line when even Sam Gradwell has a problem with you.
Gradwell said as much during a recent backstage interaction, and he and The Don pulverized one another in a slugfest of a main event.
Seven claimed the upper hand when he removed Gradwell’s knee brace and heinously targeted the injured body part with several wicked kicks before sealing the win by booting The Thunderstorm below the belt and clobbering him with the Seven Stars Lariat.
Seven continued to stomp Gradwell after the match until Tyler Bate suddenly made his return, darting through the audience and chasing Seven from the ring! Seven immediately jumped out of the squared circle and tumbled over the barricade before scrambling for the exit.
A laser-focused Bate and a panicked Seven locked eyes as NXT UK concluded.
