On a star-studded edition of NXT UK, Tyler Bate tangles with Kenny Williams while Mark Andrews battles Joe Coffey in a pair of NXT UK Championship Tournament First-Round Matches, Amale locks up with Nina Samuels, and Chase University slug it out with Eddie Dennis and Saxon Huxley.

With the tournament for the vacant NXT UK Title off to an incredible start, Bate and Williams seem poised to continue the trend of incredible matches in the eight-Superstar bracket.

Possibly still reeling from the shocking betrayal of his supposed best friend Trent Seven, Bate is the only former NXT UK Champion in the tournament and will look to rely on his big-match experience to score a win against Williams.

However, you don’t get a nickname like The Scum of the Earth without showing a knack for stooping to any level to get a win, and Williams seems certain to bend and outright break every rule in the book if it will allow him to advance to the semifinals.

The other first-round matchup presents a classic clash of styles, as the high-flying Andrews will attempt to use his quickness to get the edge on Coffey, a no-nonsense brawler if ever there was one.

Coffey recently watched his brother defeat Noam Dar to win the NXT UK Heritage Cup and also saw Wolfgang come up just short in his bid to dethrone then-NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov and would undoubtedly love to win his first championship and add even more gold to Gallus.

Plus, Amale and Samuels throw down after a couple of backstage confrontations, and Chase University attempt to school the odd pairing of Dennis and Huxley.
