Making his first NXT PLE appearance in more than seven years, Shawn Spears battled Joe Gacy on the Countdown to NXT Stand & Deliver.

Before Gacy could make it to the ring, Ridge Holland, who had provided analysis on the Countdown show, cracked Gacy in the back with a steel chair.

Spears used Holland’s attack to his advantage, continuing to attack Gacy’s damaged back with repeated back suplexes on top of the ring apron.

Gacy somehow kept fighting, hitting a wicked uranage that nearly spelled the end for Spears. After an intense back-and-forth battle, Gacy fought through the pain to send Spears to the Upside Down.

NXT Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin def. Axiom & Nathan Frazer

Axiom and Nathan Frazer wasted no time trying to discombobulate Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin, flying over the ropes and leveling them on the ringside floor before the match.

Axiom must have seen his life flash before his eyes after Breakker wrecked him with a brutal clothesline, sending Axiom to deep space.

Despite Breakker and Corbin’s strength, they had a tough time dealing with the explosive quickness from Axiom and Frazer, who used superkicks and standing shooting star presses to try to put the champions down.

Breakker brought his speed too, hitting a snap hurricanrana from the top rope onto Axiom and nearly winning the match for his team.

After Breakker miraculously kicked out of a Spanish fly/450 splash, Frazer broke out of an End of Days attempt only to be met with a vicious Spear, signaling the end for Axiom and Frazer.

Three of NXT’s biggest and baddest Superstars squared off in an immense Triple Threat Match for the NXT North American Title.

Josh Briggs and Dijak immediately teamed together to try to take out Oba Femi, eventually knocking Femi from the ring. The onslaught on Femi did not last long, however, as Femi lifted Dijak and dropped him right onto Briggs outside the ring.

In a jaw-dropping moment, Briggs used Dijak as a weapon, catapulting him onto Femi, who was seated on a desk chair.

Briggs and Dijak hit a double chokeslam on Femi, but Femi dropped both with a double chokeslam of his own.

After a brutal chokeslam from Dijak to Briggs, Briggs somehow kicked out at one, but Dijak responded with a clattering Canadian Destroyer that sent the WWE Universe into a frenzy.

Femi showcased his unbelievable strength by hitting an avalanche Death Valley driver, hoisting Dijak on his shoulders, who had Briggs on top of his shoulders.

With bodies flying everywhere, Dijak drilled Femi with Feast Your Eyes, perhaps spelling the end for Femi’s reign, but Briggs dragged the referee out of the ring before his hand could hit the mat for the third time.

Dijak could not be stopped, hitting two Feast Your Eyes on Briggs, but Femi, who had just been sent into the barricade by Briggs, stopped Dijak in his tracks and dropped him with a powerbomb on top of Briggs to win the match.

Jayne, James and Dame controlled most of the match early, isolating Jordan from her teammates with a repeated onslaught.

Jordan eventually tagged in Henley, who hit the ring like a house of fire and wiped out the mean girls’ club.

James almost got the win following an immense Spanish fly from the top rope, but the conniving Kiana could not get the win.

After Jordan showed out with a magnificent moonsault, Jazmyn Nix got involved, hitting Jordan with a back elbow behind the referee’s back.

Hail finally got her hands on Jayne, as they clobbered each other with strikes in a personal back-and-forth.

After Dame received a tag, Hail caught her with a Kimura Lock, forcing Dame to quickly tap out.

The Prodigy’s prophecy has come true. Quickly developing a vicious personality, Roxanne Perez looked to become NXT Women’s Champion for the second time by taking on Lyra Valkyria.

Perez maintained control at the start, wearing down Valkyria with brutal submissions, arm cranks and joint manipulations.

Valkyria somehow climbed back into the fight, hitting Perez with a perfect plex, but an enraged Perez engaged the titleholder in a back-and-forth slap battle.

Perez kept up the onslaught, hitting a tornado DDT right onto the Fallout logo outside the ring. Perez then followed up with Pop Rox in the middle of the ring, but Valkyria miraculously kicked out.

With Valkyria wrapped in the corner, Tatum Paxley tried to help her friend, but Perez stopped her by using Valkyria as a weapon to hit Paxley.

With pain coursing through Valkyria’s arms, Perez locked on a crossface. Valkyria struggled for some time and nearly reached the ropes, but Perez refused to let go. The champion had no choice but to tap out, ending her reign and starting Perez’s second.

NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov def. Tony D’Angelo

NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov and Tony D’Angelo went to war in a battle for control and power.

Dragunov's hand was still injured heading into the bout, and he appeared to aggravate it after he struck D’Angelo.

The Don of NXT made a bullseye of Dragunov’s hand, continuing to attack the injured metacarpals. Drugonov did not help matters as he smacked his hand directly into the ring post when D’Angelo moved out of the way.

Dragunov kept fighting through the pain, almost hitting the H-Bomb. Stacks tried to give his don some brass knuckles, but D’Angelo refused.

After his refusal, Dragunov kissed The Don on the cheek, and D’Angelo looked to break the NXT Champion with a huge German suplex from the top rope that sent Dragunov all the way to the docks.

With the match stepping into high gear, The Don and The Mad Dragon cleared off an announce table. Dragunov leveled D’Angelo with an H-Bomb on the ringside floor before landing another H-Bomb through the announce table.

After a senton from the top rope, Dragunov was left in shock when D’Angelo came through with a last-second kickout. D’Angelo then caught Dragunov with a massive powerbomb as The Mad Dragon leapt from the top rope.

After a Torpedo Moscow and a Super H-Bomb, Dragunov pinned D’Angelo to retain his title. Following a tense standoff after the bout, the Superstars finally shook hands.

Trick Williams def. Carmelo Hayes

Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes: NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 highlights

Former friends and partners Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes battle in the main event of NXT Stand & Deliver. Catch WWE action on Peacock, WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

For the first time since Booker T squared off with The Rock at SummerSlam 2001, two Black men main evented a WWE PLE as Trick Williams took on his former best friend Carmelo Hayes.

With the animosity at an all-time high, Williams and Hayes attempted to destroy each other during a wild ringside fight, and the slugfest soon spilled into the frantic NXT Universe.

After brawling throughout the crowd, Hayes and Williams made their way back to the ring, as Hayes tried to remove the top turnbuckle pad.

After Williams accidentally took out the referee, Hayes caught Williams in the knee with a chop block.

With the referee out of action, Hayes grabbed a steel chair, but Williams stole the chair from Hayes and wailed on his back with repeated strikes.

As the referee recovered and took the chair from Williams, Hayes struck with a low blow behind the referee’s back.

After Hayes accidentally kicked the official, Hayes landed Nothing But Net, but not even the second referee could count the three.

Hayes once again tried to use the steel chair, but the referee intervened. This gave Williams enough time to strike Hayes with the Trick Knee, earning the emotional victory.
