Thea Hail def. Arianna Grace
With the ink barely dry on her scholarship to Chase University, a reinvigorated Thea Hail bounded to the ring hoping to make good use of Andre Chase’s teachings and score her first victory in WWE.
The only hurdle? Arianna Grace, who recently defeated Amari Miller in her debut match; in fact, Grace nearly earned her second win on NXT Level Up when she dropped Hail with a thunderous hammerlock DDT.
Perhaps feeding off the deafening cries of “Chase U” and “Let’s go Thea” from ever-enthusiastic student section, Hail fought her way out of a submission hold and kept Grace down for the three-count with an innovative rollup, much to the delight of Chase and the flag-wielding Bodhi Hayward.
Guru Raaj def. Myles Borne
There is a very fine line between winning and losing on NXT 2.0 as well as NXT Level Up. Just ask Guru Raaj.
Raaj has gone toe-to-toe with the likes of Javier Bernal, Trick Williams and Duke Hudson in recent months, though victories have mostly proved elusive for the eccentric Superstar. His path to victory certainly wasn’t going to get any easier when he was opposed by the debuting Myles Borne, a towering competitor with an impressive amateur background.
Borne put those skills to good use in the early goings, controlling the pace and keeping Raaj grounded, but Raaj nevertheless struck back with a unique face-breaker from the middle rope for the 1-2-3. After the bell, Raaj helped Borne to his feet, and the two competitors embraced.
Ivy Nile def. Elektra Lopez via Submission
Though she’s probably still getting used to taking orders from Tony D’Angelo, Elektra Lopez did her best to concentrate on an enormous task: trying to deal Ivy Nile her first career singles loss in the United States.
Nile was all business as usual, blitzing Lopez with several menacing strikes and a wicked enzuigiri.
Lopez briefly took the upper hand with a kick to the face, but when she hoisted her opponent onto her shoulder, Nile countered into the Dragon Sleeper. Lopez lasted longer than most Superstars in Nile’s devastating submission hold, but she couldn’t fight her way free and soon had no choice but to tap.
