36 Superstars join WWE 2K17 roster in third Suplex City Census update

Avid fans of 2K’s vaunted series of WWE video games can expect a few new faces on the WWE 2K17 playable roster.

AJ Styles and Becky Lynch headline the largest WWE 2K17 roster update revealed by 2K to date. Styles and Lynch lead the charge of 36 new playable characters in WWE 2K17, which also includes the return of The Dudley Boyz and the presence of 10 WWE Hall of Famers, including Sting, who first introduced himself to the WWE Universe as a WWE 2K15 pre-order bonus character.

2K confirmed the 36 Superstars joining what is expected to be the largest playable roster in history through its Suplex City Census results for the shopping district, the third of five interactive neighborhoods in a locale inspired by WWE 2K17 cover Superstar Brock Lesnar.

The latest Suplex City Census update follows on the heels of a recent announcement about what new features can be expected by grappling gamers in WWE 2K17. Last Friday on its official website for WWE gaming, 2K revealed details concerning gameplay improvements, revised Creation Suite, WWE Universe and MyCareer modes, and the debut of a new, in-game promo engine. 

WWE 2K17 is not yet rated by the ESRB, and is currently scheduled for worldwide release on Oct. 11, 2016, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
