Mattel reveals 2012 WWE action figure packaging

For 2012, Mattel unleashes an all-new look to their WWE product packaging.
The new packaging is based on the dynamic, aggressive poses of WWE Superstars, themselves.
Mattel's package designers worked with WWE over a three-day period to shoot original, all-new images of WWE's ring warriors.
More than 75 Superstars were photographed, including The Game.

The initial rollout of Basic Series figures bear a numbering scheme, kicking off with Rey Mysterio at No. 1.
All Basic Series going forward will not be numbered, though Mattel will continue to release six new Basic figures each month.
WWE's Queen of Cougardom, Vickie Guerrero, makes her Mattel debut in Basic Series 1.
All Superstars, Divas and Legends making their first appearance in a Mattel line will include a packaging sticker indicating their milestone release as a true collector's item.
In 2012, Mattel two-piece figure series will be "Battle Packs" featuring rival Superstars.
Battle Packs will also include accessories in every pack.
Like the Basic Series, Mattel's Battle Packs card backs will feature other Superstars in the series, using their unique photos.
