Curt Hawkins’ latest loss on the WWE Main Event tapings before Raw was special for two reasons: For one, it pushes his historic goose egg to an astounding 0-179. For another, the Superstar he was facing has a bit of history in the building itself.

Hawkins’ opponent, Goldust, battled the late, great “Rowdy” Roddy Piper in the notorious Hollywood Backlot Brawl at Anaheim during WrestleMania XII — the very same arena, in fact, that Hawkins and The Bizarre One competed in last night. Given the legacy of the arena and his opponent, The Prince of Queens was more than agreeable about taking the “L.”

I wrestled @Goldust tonight in the same building he faced @R_Roddy_Piper in the infamous Hollywood Back Lot Brawl. That’s gotta be the coolest loss I’ve had yet. No shame in that, just honored.
