Big E comments on lost season of WWE NXT
The original WWE NXT was a freewheeling experiment that ended abruptly in 2012 when the show was rebranded as a proving ground for WWE’s newest signees. Before that happened, however, WWE had one last hurrah planned, as Big E revealed on Twitter today.
Responding to a fan’s post of a publicity photo of several Superstars within the yellow ropes, the former WWE Tag Team Champion revealed that it was part of a “lost season” of the original NXT … one he was relieved never quite came to fruition.
An NXT season that never was. Thank the Lord. https://t.co/9doJk6dO3T

Ah, to be wild and young. But even if the famously stressful original NXT was beyond redemption at that point, the cast for this season-that-never-was was pretty stacked. Among the prospective Superstars and familiar faces were Seth Rollins, Big E and Bo Dallas — coincidentally, the first three NXT Champions. Rollins even chimed in with a comment of his own.
@WWEBigE Holy crap

Our sentiments exactly.
